Application Guidelines

  • In order to participate in the The Tenth International Interdisciplinary Symposium ENCOUNTER OF CULTURES, applicants are required to submit only abstracts of original papers that have not been already published or offered for publishing elsewhere.
  • Each applicant may submit a maximum of two abstracts and may be the first author of only one abstract. Papers written by more than three co-authors will not be taken into consideration.
  • If you would like to participate, please fill in the online application form, which can be accessed by clicking on the Apply Here field. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 23 October 2018.
  • The title of the presentation should not be longer than 200 characters (with spaces).
  • Abstracts should not exceed 1,000 characters (with spaces) and they have to include the most important information on the research (problems, aims, methodology and results). It is also necessary to include up to 5 keywords (no more than 70 characters with spaces). Abstracts have be submitted in one of the Symposium languages and in English as well. Abstracts will be evaluated according to the originality of the topic and scholarly contribution of the conducted research, i.e. according to the quality and clarity of the content.
  • The notice of acceptance will be sent to the authors no later than 8 November.
  • The presentation of papers at the Symposium should last for 15 minutes, followed by a five-minute discussion.
  • The papers prepared for publishing in accordance with the style sheet for papers should be submitted electronically via the form available on this webpage by 1 February 2019. Submitting papers after this deadline will not be possible.

  • The participation at the Symposium does not necessarily mean that the paper will be accepted for publishing. A selection of the reviewed papers will be published in the Book of Proceedings after a double-blind peer-review.
